The resourceful State of Mind

Core to the development of Emotional mastery ie living a life of inner freedom is the fact that we need to have complete control over how we feel in each and every moment no matter what happens around us. That is called inner freedom and unleashes immense power within us to direct our lives towards desired goals. There are three simple steps which can be followed right now to take charge of ourselves and in combination they finally determine how we feel.

  • Physiology: The way we use our body, or its motions is directly related to our emotions. Have you ever noticed the physiology of a confident and calm person? Any kind of disposition can be immediately noticed from the body language. Therefore, a very important part of how we feel depends upon our physiology. If you slump your shoulders and lean your head forward, you’ll automatically move toward a state of depression. Its easier to take charge of self with bringing it into the physiology first.
  • Language: our beliefs system has a complete and direct connection to the way we use language. Language is the basis of how we form sentences in our brain and finally a way the brain perceives and links each word to a certain kind of emotion. Therefore, it is important to pay attention not only to how we speak but also how we think. It is a good option to try and find humorous and insightful words that describe our situations.
  • Focus: wherever we focus, our life energy flows. And when that happens, situations you focus on begin to take the shape of reality. So its better to focus on what you desire rather than what you don’t want or what you fear. For the mind does not know a “no”. even if you focus saying “ I don’t want a particular thing or situation”, chances are you are leading yourself towards it by generating the emotions associated with it. Shift your focus toward where you want to go and your actions will take you in that direction. Understanding the trio is the first step towards influencing your behavior towards more resourceful and positive states of mind. In these states of mind, you can unleash your creative energies to make more meaningful decisions and actions and reach your highest potential
If you want to change the results of anything, you first must put yourself into a peak state. This means you massively change your physiology in order to maximize energy levels. If you remain in a low-energy state, you will not change anything because it will only remain a concept in your head. Do whatever you need to do to get into this state: jump up and down, dance, yell.
